Today’s education is not confined to classrooms, textbooks, or test papers. We want students to develop as holistic individuals with well-rounded skills, talents and abilities. To ignite the fire of literary and cultural talents among our students we at DSPS piloted the Literary and Cultural competitions for all classes. A myriad of competitions was carried out for different class categories. The competitions were as follows –
For Classes I and II:
Literary events – Poem recitation, storytelling, handwriting.
Cultural events – Drawing and colouring, singing/playing a musical instrument, dancing.
For Classes III to V:
Literary events – Poem recitation/multiplication recitation, storytelling, paragraph writing.
Cultural events – Drawing and colouring, singing/playing a musical instrument, dancing.
For Classes VI to VIII:
Literary events – Caption writing, short movie making/creating an advertisement, news reading, versification.
Cultural events – Drawing and colouring, singing/playing a musical instrument, dancing, collage making.
