Virtual schooling has not been a hindrance in celebrating World Environment Day for the students of Dayananda Sagar Public School, Anjanapura. They celebrated the day virtually with full of zeal and zest.
The main purpose of the celebration was to create awareness among the students about the protection and restoration of the environment. On this occasion the school has organised various activities for the students. Students enthusiastically participated in the activities held virtually. They have planted saplings in and around their houses. They have also made paper bags to avoid the usage of plastic. The same paper bags prepared by the students were distributed in the nearby shops to reduce the use of plastic bags. Students from the Pre-Primary section planted seeds to mark the day. Primary section students have created attractive drawings and posters. Students from the Secondary section spoke on the theme of the year “Ecosystem Restoration”. They have created awareness presentations and videos.
On this occasion the Principal, Mr. George Kurian advised the students to plant more trees and reduce the use of plastic bags. The day was filled with hues of green from nature which is the need of the hour.
It is our responsibility to keep our environment clean and green and we must make our best efforts to protect and conserve our mother Earth.
